Samhain, situated between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, marks the New Year in the Celtic calendar, signalling a time of ends and new beginnings.

In welcoming the beginning of the winter months, The Copper House is excited to announce our open call for 'Samhain' a celebration of new art specifically aimed to support and showcase visual artists based in Ireland.

30 selected artists will be included in a group exhibition launching November 2nd, running until November 30th in the beautiful airy space of The Copper House Gallery. This is a great opportunity for visual artists from any artistic practice to explore and display original artworks through the contemporary medium of fine art giclée print.

The Copper House is committed to supporting artists make and exhibit work to the highest standard, with all selected artists to be awarded a print publishing agreement, consisting of 25 limited edition prints, which will launch at the Samhain A|W 2023 exhibition. Artists will be provided with curatorial and production support, the opportunity to network with fellow artists through in house events, as well as framing of their print for exhibition.

One artist will be chosen for a solo exhibition in 2024, taking place in our beautiful gallery at The Copper House on Synge St. (Dublin)
